Timothy August, MPAS, PA-C
Timothy August is a dermatology Physician Assistant who graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1998 and later received his MPAS through UNMC in 2001. He now owns and operates Dermatology on Demand, Inc.
After years of working in private practice dermatology, he identified an ongoing need for specialty-specific training resources for clinical support staff. To address this, he authored the Association of Certified Dermatology Techs online course in 2012, which has since trained tens of thousands of dermatology medical assistants through its Certified Dermatology Tech program.
Tim has since expanded his interests further by launching Dermatoscopes.com in 2019. Through his work as an authorized distributor for Dermlite, he’s authored dozens of dermatoscope and dermoscopy-related training videos and online articles.
His latest focus on dermatology staff training is seen with the launch of "Front Desk Essentials" - an 11-lesson course which provides the foundation for those new to working in dermatology reception and checkout.
